Legacy in Rensenhut, Emmen
Two video works (Dyptich and The Tea Party) and the installation (Zen Garden).
The cycle of destruction and reconstruction, the resilience to start over, the hope for a better life, and beauty are inextricably linked to the tragedy of life and death. The works on display in the Rensenhut, on the other hand, are light and playful, revealing an optimistic side.
The play of discovery, children’s curiosity, the beauty of nature and simultaneously its destructive power with its own aesthetic, but also the processing of loss through intense experience and its transformation into form.
Opposites that simultaneously offer similarities and are inseparable.
This work in the Rensenhut by Loes Heebink explores these extremes and is the first in a series of individual exhibitions this summer by six members of Kuunst (a nomadic breeding ground for professional visual artists in Drenthe).
